Program
Sunday: Transfer from the airport to the Hotel Herkko in Taivalkoski. Information about the hotel and coming program. Sauna and swimming pool are open. Dinner.
Monday: 08.00 – 10.00 h breakfast buffet. 10.00 Transfer to the Finn-Jann husky farm. After arrival on the farm information about the coming day and getting to know the lovely sled dogs. After a short driving instruction start to the husky tour. 2 clients drive one dog team; they can change the turn during the tour. After return to the huskyfarm lunch in wooden kota. Driving distance about 15 – 25 km. Transfer back to the hotel. Duration of the excursion about 4 – 6 hours. (135 €/person) Sauna and swimming pool are open. 19.00 Dinner.
Tuesday: 08.00 – 10.00 h breakfastbuffet. 10.00 dressing and preparing for the snowmobilesafari. The guide introduce the drivingtechnics before starting to the about 40 – 50 km long tour. 2 clients drive one snowmobile. During many stops possibility for changing driver… After a lunch on the openfire with soup, sandwich and coffee return back home to the hotel, where is waiting a hot drink! Duration of the excursion about 4 – 5 hours (120 €/person). Sauna and swimmingpool are open. 19.00 Dinner.
Wednesday: 08.00 – 10.00 h breakfast buffet. 10.00 h Transfer to the reindeer farm. We get to know a lot about the reindeer husbandry. About grooming and growing the animals as well as about the reindeer farmer’s life. After a delicious snack from the house transfer back to the hotel. Duration about 2 – 3 hours. (40 €/person) Sauna and Swimming pool. 19.00 Dinner.
Thursday: 08.00 – 10.00 h breakfast buffet. Morning for free using. Possibility to book additional activities, relax or explore the village Taivalkoski. At 14.00 h we meet for a short snowshoehike in the beautiful area of the hill Taivalvaara. Duration 2 – 3 hours (€ 35/person). Sauna and swimming pool are open. Dinner.
Friday: 08.00 – 10.00 h breakfast buffet. 10.00 dressing and preparing for the Crosscountryskiing Tour. If the conditions allow we as well explore the close surroundings of Taivalkoski off the tracks. During the tour we enjoy a lunch on an open fire. Enjoy the silence of Taivalvaara! Duration of the excursion about 4 hours (60 €/person). Sauna and swimming pool are open. Dinner
Saturday: 08.00 – 10.00 h breakfast buffet. Transfer back to the airport or day for free using. Possibility to book additional activities, relax or explore the village Taivalkoski. Sauna and swimming pool are open. Last evenings dinner around an open fire in the kota close to the hotel (salmon on the board). € 35/Person
