Here are some clues:
By plane
Helsinki is a destination for a lot of central European airlines. Here you
find a good overall view for flights to Finland. Finnair flies to many European
cities.
By car
There are different possibilities to travel from Central Europe to Finland
by car. The most comfortable and probably also the fastest is by car ferry
– Superfast,
Siljalines or Vikinglines
go from northern Germany directly to southern Finland. A further possibility
is the overland route from Germany via Denmark-Sweden to Finland. Many car
ferries also cross from Sweden’s east coast to Finland’s west

By train/bus
There is only one railway line from Helsinki to Lapland, from Helsinki via
Oulu to Rovaniemi where it ends. for further connections see www.scanrail.de
or www.bahn.de . Destinations as Taivalkoski, Kuusamo and possibly also Levi
(Ruskamarathon) can be reached by a combination of train and bus.
