Finn-Jann Classic Husky Safari

Five days with huskies in northern Finland. The program includes 5 husky days, a visit to a reindeer farm and many other arctic pleasures. Enjoy 5 days driving with a well trained and high quality dog team, relax in our traditional sauna and taste our home made local meals! Accommodation in our husky farm is in cosy double rooms or in a 4 person cabin. Group size for this special tours is maximum 6 persons, so you really can enjoy driving. We equip you with warm thermal clothing and boots. During husky farm evenings we enjoy meals around open fire together with many sagas about our history, nature and culture.

Oulu airport transfers both ways additional 100 € per person. Children reduction 50% for children 6-12 years (if in the same room with parents)

Program
1^st day: Collective transfer from the airport to the husky farm. Introduction of the farm, the dogs and the program. Dinner and possibility for sauna. Overnight in the husky farm.

2^nd day: Getting warm clothing for coming experiences. Introduction of huskies, safety and driving lesson. Start for the first husky drive. Everyone drives an own dog team. During the trip we stop and have lunch around an open fire. In the afternoon we arrive to the farm and care about dogs. Sauna and dinner in the husky farm.

3^rd day: Packing and starting to the husky tour. During the day lunch around open fire. In afternoon we arrive to our own Jänisvaara cabin. We care about the dogs, heat the cabin, carry water to the sauna and make other small services together. Happy hour in the cabin with coffee and tea. Feeding the dogs and relaxing in the sauna. Dinner and overnight in the cabin.

4^th day: Second safari day. Today we drive to our Kylkeinen wilderness cabin. Normal routines like in the day before. Kylkeinen has a really good sauna to enjoy and also an icehole for getting an arctic baptism. For our guests, who still like to test more limits we have the possibility to sleep in a snow igloo or a lean to. The cabin itself is warm for a bit more comfortable overnight.

5^th day: Last safari day. Today we drive back to the huskyfarm. In the husky farm we relax in our sauna and the heat of the arctic Jacuzzi helps to get our muscles in condition again. Overnight in the farm.

6^th day: Relaxing day. In the farm we have snowshoes and skis for free using . After a lunch in the farm we visit a old traditional reindeer farm. On the way back we make a short stop in Taivalkoski village, where we also visit the old “Russian style“ shop Jalavankauppa.” Sauna and dinner in the husky farm.

7^th day: Last day with the huskies. Day trip to the wilderness. Lunch around a campfire. Back on the husky farm in the afternoon, we enjoy a last sauna and fare well dinner.

8^th day: After breakfast it is time to say goodbye to our huskies and crew. Transfer to the airport.
